With fall deer seasons not far off it's a good time to whet your appetite for September's archery hunting, as well as fresh venison in the freezer.
From 7 - 9 p.m. Aug. 9 state wildlife biologist Carole Stanko will explain the new automated deer check system, the effects of EHD on deer, last season's tally as well as any major changes in the deer regs for 2012-13. The seminar will be held at the Sergeantsville Firehouse.
